On 9th November, Chick-fil-A will be coming with a new animated short film. It will be an interactive web experience encouraging viewers to look inside life’s unexpected and imperfect moments yet embrace life wholeheartedly.
In 2021’s film, the main character in the 2020 and 2019 holiday films ‘Sam’ will return onscreen for a new adventure in the whimsical, newly-revealed town of Evergreen Hills. Her friend, CeCe, will join in the adventure. The synopsis of the film as stated by the makers is, the two girls will be led to a bakery called The Whoopsery by a Christmas decorating mishap. In the bakery the characters will see how every kitchen mix-up is getting transformed into an extraordinary treat. Thus the girls will learn how even the most unexpected and unpleasant events can be a start to something wonderful.
EvergreenHills.com will digitally launch the 2 minutes film on Nov. 9. It will debut on NBC on Thanksgiving Day and will continue running on television and movie theaters through Christmas Eve. Ashley Callahan, senior director of integrated creative at Chick-fil-A, Inc. has said that this time of the year is supposedly full of unrealistic expectations whether it is people doting on picking out the perfect tree, or preparing to serve the perfect meal, or answering kids on their questions about traditions and celebrations.

With the film, says Callahan, the makers are trying to “encourage people to see all the messy, not social media worthy, real-life experiences as opportunities”. The film wants the audience to embrace the real life experiences and not miss these wonderful moments which they are fortunately sharing with the family and loved ones. The makers want the film to inspire people to find joy even when they are struck with unplanned stuff and turn the ‘whoops’ into something ‘wonderful’.
