Dune Star Timothée Chalamet Loses His Own Look-Alike Contest? Unbelievable!

Over the past weekend, the streets of New York City weren’t just graced by the presence of the acclaimed actor Timothée Chalamet, but also by several look-alikes.

The actor, known for his roles in “Call Me by Your Name” and “Dune,” unexpectedly showed up at an event at Washington Square Park on Sunday. The gathering, which had gained considerable attention online for its enigmatic promotional materials, was attended by hundreds of fans and Chalamet doppelgangers. They were there to compete for the title of the “best Timothée” look-alike. The participants, sporting bold eyebrows and dark curly hair, dressed up in outfits inspired by the actor’s roles in “Wonka” and “Dune.” However, Chalamet himself did not participate in the competition.

Surrounded by personal bodyguards, the 28-year-old “Lady Bird” actor engaged with his fans and look-alikes after the local police dispersed the crowd due to an “unauthorized costume contest.” The event’s organizers were fined $500.

Reports from various sources indicate that four individuals were taken into custody due to an “unplanned protest.”

Reflecting on the chaotic scene, Paige Nguyen, one of the event’s organizers who works with YouTuber Anthony Po, remarked, “It started as a humorous jest and now it’s turned into pandemonium.” Po gained online fame earlier this year for an event in which he ate an entire jar of cheese balls in Union Square Park in Manhattan.

Post the police intervention, the crowd relocated to a nearby playground to continue the competition. The attendees voted for the Chalamet look-alike who most closely resembled the actor. However, Chalamet himself did not join the crowd at the second location. The title of “best Tim,” along with a trophy and a jumbo-sized check of $50, was eventually awarded to 21-year-old Miles Mitchell from Staten Island. Mitchell emulated Chalamet’s “Wonka” character, complete with an ascot and top hat.

“Most insane day of my existence! NYC, I adore you,” Mitchell posted on Instagram, adding, “@Tchalamet hey twin.”

While Sunday’s gathering may have determined the best Timothée Chalamet look-alike, it’s the real Timothée who will next be seen starring in the upcoming Bob Dylan biographical film “A Complete Unknown,” set to release on Christmas Day.
