Eddie Murphy Finally Ties the Knot with Paige Butcher after 6-Year Engagement!

July seems to be a special month for Eddie Murphy.

As per reports, the actor and comedian, who has been nominated for an Oscar, has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Paige Butcher, an Australian model. The wedding took place on Tuesday, merely days after the launch of his new movie, “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”

The happy couple reportedly conducted a private wedding ceremony in Anguilla, a beautiful island located in the Eastern Caribbean. The news was covered by People Magazine on Friday. For the occasion, Butcher donned a lace gown designed by Mira Zwillinger, while Murphy looked dashing in a white suit by Brioni that matched with his bride’s dress.

The news was later confirmed by Murphy’s representative to The Times.

Murphy, who is 62 years old, and Butcher, 44, had been engaged since 2018. However, the couple started dating way back in 2012, years after they initially met during the filming of “Big Momma’s House 2”. The couple has two children together: an 8-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona, and a 5-year-old son, Max Charles.

Murphy, who lent his voice for the character of ‘Donkey’ in “Shrek”, has eight other children from his previous relationships, including with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy. Their divorce was finalized in 2006.

At the Netflix premiere of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” earlier this month, Murphy was accompanied by his daughter Bria, who even has a role in the movie as a cop.

“She is the cop who arrests me,” Murphy commented to “Today“. “And in another scene where I get arrested in the movie, the officer tasing me in the neck is my son-in-law.”

“Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” is the fourth movie in the action-comedy franchise and is a sequel to Beverly Hills Cop III, which was released in 1994. It had its premiere on Netflix on July 3.
