Abdellah Boujalal Hints at Season 2 for ‘All for the Light’ – Is This the End or Just the Beginning?

Will “All for the Light” return for a second season? Abdellah Boujalal shares his insights and reflects on the final days of filming!

Three weeks after the end of filming for “All for the Light,” AlloCiné’s editorial team had the opportunity to speak with Abdellah Boujalal, who plays Mohamed in the series. So, how did he experience the final days of this incredible journey?

“It was very challenging. We really created a team together. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived on set. Initially, I thought it would just be a job, and there might be a colleague-like atmosphere. But not at all! We had a camp-like atmosphere for five months.”

“It was a little heartbreaking to leave”

He continues: “And what’s crazy is that honestly, we never had any disagreements, it was very healthy among us from start to finish. It was a little heartbreaking to leave. On the last day, I was on the first sequence in La Ciotat and I stayed there all day to say goodbye to friends and witness the last scene.”

“It was something very, very powerful. We all gathered in the hall where the piano is and it was very, very intense. We all sang ‘All for the Light.’ We applauded all the technical teams and the HMC (Wardrobe, Makeup, Hair, Ed.). Then, we went out, took pictures, we all cried together. It was a very, very moving moment.”

As for whether he would be up for a season 2? He answers without hesitation: “Oh yes, yes, with great pleasure!” It remains to be seen whether TF1 and Netflix will renew the series. If so, with whom would Abdellah Boujalal like to work more?

“A friendship with Mohamed could help Julian”

“From a personal and professional viewpoint, I would love to share scenes with Alex Doux, who plays Julian. We get along very well in real life and I really like his acting. And then he has some pretty ‘dark’ sides which mean that a friendship with Mohamed, I think, could help him.”

And when asked about his favorites on set, he has nothing but praise for his fellow actors: What’s crazy is that I really liked everyone. I had meetings in Paris, I hung out a lot with Charlie Loiselier, Yara Charry and Louve Le Coadou.”

“Now, I’m back home in the South-West, Louve, Amaya Carreté and Marie Fèvre are here, so we take the opportunity to see each other” reveals the young man before adding: “I had a really good chemistry with everyone, even with the adults. That’s also what’s crazy about this project.”

“There was a great atmosphere among us all”

“For example, Ilan Evans, is one of my best encounters from the adventure, I plan to visit him in London. Gilles Cohen taught us a lot about acting, Michaël Cohen likewise… There was a great atmosphere among us all” concludes Abdellah Boujalal enthusiastically.

In the meantime, you can find the continuation of All for the Light every day of the week starting at 6pm on TF1 and in replay on TF1+!
