In “All for the Light”, Mohamed and Baya have started dating. We had a chat with Abdellah Boujalal to delve deeper into this budding relationship!
Baya and Mohamed are head over heels in love in “All for the Light”! After their passionate kiss in the locker room, the young couple decided to officially date. This prompted us at AlloCiné to chat with Abdellah Boujalal about this blossoming romance.
From the get-go, it’s clear that Victoria’s daughter has caught Mohamed’s eye. But what does he find attractive about her: “I think he really likes her cheerful demeanor because Baya is also a very radiant character. She is somewhat scatterbrained. I think the two of them are a great match.”
“We see the closeness and camaraderie between Baya and Mohamed”
He continues: “For instance, in the episodes where they rehearse for ‘The Sun King’, we see this closeness and camaraderie. Despite her previous entanglements with Swann (Aurélien Viik), there were episodes where they were both doubled over with laughter, hugging each other, and so on.”
“I think there’s a certain level of joviality that Baya and Mohamed share.” When asked about his reaction to playing a character in love, the actor shares that he went through a rollercoaster of emotions:
“When I found out that I had to portray a couple, I was a bit panicked. I discussed it with my friends, telling them I wasn’t sure how to and that it was quite daunting.”
“But, I was fortunate not to start with that. Unlike Maddie (Charlie Loiselier) and Nils (Vike), I didn’t start with a relationship. I already had a strong friendship with the actors who play Eden and Baya.”
“Louve Le Coadou and Clément Massy were my main co-stars, so we spent a lot of time together. Louve and I knew each other like real friends so there was no awkwardness, it felt quite natural” reveals the actor before adding:
“We were almost excited to play a couple”
“We knew we were going to do it and that we were also there for the work. We have a real chemistry. It’s strange to say, but we were almost excited because we’re friends in real life, and we thought it would be funny to have to play a couple.”
