What’s the plot of “The Acolyte” series?
Created by showrunner and executive producer Leslye Headland (who previously worked on Russian Doll), Star Wars: The Acolyte takes us back a hundred years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
At a time when the Jedi Order is at its zenith and prosperity abounds in the High Republic, a series of mysterious crimes occur. Respected Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) conducts an investigation that pits him against a dangerous warrior from his past, portrayed by Amandla Stenberg.
As new clues surface and the noose tightens around the Jedi Order, both characters are drawn into a dark path where sinister forces reveal that things aren’t always what they seem…
The eight episodes of Star Wars: The Acolyte are co-directed by Leslye Headland, Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper. The original score is composed by Michael Abels (Get Out).
