WhatsApp Android beta version 2.19.116 is released and a teardown of it reportedly shows a brand new feature still in the development stage. The famous instant messaging application is currently engaged on developing a separate emoji category in Doodle Picker section.
According to the teardown of the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.19.166 done by WABetaInfo, the Doodle Picker shall be made much more expansive and organised, with a separate emojis and stickers section in the coming days. The section will let you select from an array of emojis which are available on the app and use them on your ‘Status’ before you post it. Besides, it also comprises of a stickers section which you’ll be able to use through Doodle Picker in another separate category. However, you will not be able to see the new feature now even if you have the latest WhatsApp beta version as it is disabled reportedly by default.
Notably, the Doodle Picker is the smiley icon positioned on top in the WhatsApp Status Bar. Once you add an image to the Status Bar, you get a variety of editing tools that you could use before publishing the image. Currently, the Doodle Picker offers a slew of options which include emojis and sticker as well. Information regarding when WhatsApp will actually enable the emoji category is still unknown.
