Margot Robbie, the Oscar-nominated actress, has embarked on the journey of motherhood.

The “Barbie” star, who is also a producer, has reportedly given birth to her first child with her husband, film producer Tom Ackerley. Confirmations have been received from People that the couple have welcomed a baby boy. However, details regarding the baby’s name and birth date remain undisclosed.

When The Times reached out to Robbie’s representatives for confirmation, an immediate response was not received.

Speculations about Robbie’s pregnancy began to circulate this summer when she and Ackerley, both 34, were spotted together. In July, the Daily Mail published photographs of the “Wolf of Wall Street” and “Bombshell” actress, with her baby bump visible under a midriff top, boarding a boat with Ackerley in Lake Como, Italy. Shortly after these photographs became viral, sources confirmed to People that Robbie and Ackerley were indeed expecting their first child.

The pair, who have been successful in maintaining their private life out of the public eye, tied the knot back in December 2016. Robbie and Ackerley also have professional ties through their joint venture, Lucky Chap Entertainment. They co-founded the company in 2014, the same year they started dating, with producers Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. They first met on the set of the film “Suite Française.”

Lucky Chap Entertainment, since its inception, has produced several films that starred Robbie including “I, Tonya,” “Birds of Prey” and “Barbie.” The company has also backed Emerald Fennell’s “Promising Young Woman” and “Saltburn.” Lucky Chap is set to team up again with Fennell for her adaptation of “Wuthering Heights.” The company is also gearing up to produce film versions of the game “Monopoly” and the “Sims” video game series.
