Zack Snyder Unleashes First-Ever Viking-Inspired Series on Netflix After Rebel Moon!

The animated series “Twilight of the Gods”, co-created by Zack Snyder, is set to premiere on Netflix this coming fall.

Whether a third Rebel Moon will be released on Netflix or not is still uncertain. The sequel, which premiered on the platform on April 19, has been widely criticized. In fact, Rebel Moon is among the lowest-rated films by Zack Snyder…

However, the American filmmaker has no shortage of projects. According to a report by Variety, Snyder’s brand-new animated series, Twilight of the Gods, has a release date.

The series, set in the Viking era, targets an adult audience and features a queen leading a band of mercenaries on a quest for revenge against a god from Norse mythology.

Twilight of the Gods, co-created by Zack Snyder, Jay Oliva, and Eric Carrasco, is a Franco-American production, with Xilam studio being responsible for the animation of the project.

An Oscar-nominated French Studio

Xilam Animation, known for its popular children’s series (Oggy and the Cockroaches, Space Goofs), gained international success in 2019 with Jérémy Clapin’s feature film “I Lost My Body”, nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar.

First looks of the series will be unveiled during the 2024 Annecy Festival, where a sneak peek of the highly anticipated second season of Arcane will also be presented. Twilight of the Gods will be exclusively available on Netflix this fall.
