Back in 2014, during the fifth season of “Outlander”, Richard Gadd made a minor appearance alongside Sam Heughan.
With eleven thousand ratings, 114 reviews, and a fantastic average of 4 out of 5 on AlloCiné, there’s no denying that My Little Reindeer is a surprise hit of the year on Netflix. The show, based on Richard Gadd’s one-man show, follows his twisted relationship with a stalker and the impact it has on him as he is eventually forced to confront a deep, dark repressed trauma…
Although the Scottish actor gained popularity through My Little Reindeer, this is not his first collaboration with the streaming platform. As this article points out, Gadd – who is also a screenwriter and author – contributed to the writing of an episode of Sex Education.
More specifically, he worked on episode 5 of season 2, in which the character Ola (Patricia Allison) realizes that she is attracted to girls and subsequently decides to break up with Otis (Asa Butterfield).

A Cameo in Outlander
This time we see Richard Gadd in front of the camera. The year was 2014 and Starz was airing season 5 of its successful historical series, Outlander. The series is available on Netflix in several countries outside the United States, including France. If you tune into episode 10 (starting from the 13-minute mark), you can see the actor sharing screen time with Sam Heughan.

Gadd only appears in this one episode of Outlander. He plays a character named Duff, a former deckhand on the Gloriana, the pirate ship of Stephen Bonnet. He is the one who meets with Jamie and Roger, in place of his captain. After being handcuffed by the two Brits, he is used as a bargaining chip to find Bonnet.
Without his beard and dressed in period costume, the actor from My Little Reindeer is virtually unrecognizable…
My Little Reindeer, Sex Education, and Outlander are all available on Netflix.
