Actor Jonathan Majors Sued! Shocking Allegations of Battery & Defamation by Ex-Girlfriend!

Jonathan Majors is confronting more legal repercussions due to his supposed “history of domestic abuse” against former girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In a recent lawsuit, the ex-Marvel actor stands accused of assault, battery, and defamation.

Last year, Jabbari testified against Majors, known for his roles in “Creed III” and “Lovecraft Country,” in a high-profile assault and harassment case. On Tuesday, she initiated her lawsuit against him in a New York federal court, accusing him of deliberate infliction of emotional distress and malicious prosecution, as per legal documents inspected by The Times.

“This case emerges from a consistent pattern of domestic abuse that started in 2021 and continued until 2023,” the lawsuit states. “The full context and history of the domestic abuse are significant in comprehending the extent of Grace Jabbari’s damages.”

Jabbari’s lawyer, Brittany Henderson, in a statement given to The Times, affirmed her client’s “unwavering resolve” and commended her “immense courage in her pursuit of accountability.”

The statement further noted: “This action will cast a light on the truth, bringing her the closure and justice she rightfully deserves.”

In reaction to Jabbari’s lawsuit, Majors’ legal counsel, Priya Chaudhry, communicated to The Times that the complaint “is not unexpected” and the actor’s legal team is “devising counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari.”

The crux of Jabbari’s lawsuit is multiple instances of alleged abuse by Majors. Jabbari first crossed paths with the “Last Black Man in San Francisco” breakout star in August 2021 on the set of Marvel’s “Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania” in London, where she worked as a movement coach and he portrayed the villain Kang.

The lawsuit mentions that Majors began exhibiting “worrying behavior” soon after he and Jabbari started dating. His aggressive demeanor towards his then-girlfriend began to intensify, culminating in his alleged first assault on her in July 2022. Among the incidents elaborated in Jabbari’s complaint is the March 2023 altercation that spiraled into the actor’s highly publicized, protracted domestic violence case.

Majors was arrested on March 25, 2023, following a clash with Jabbari during a car journey in Manhattan the previous night. The case unfolded in court, with Manhattan prosecutors scrutinizing Majors’ alleged “harsh and controlling pattern of psychological and physical abuse” while his defense argued that Jabbari’s allegations were a scheme to “ruin Jonathan Majors and strip him of everything he has striven for his entire life.”

On Dec. 18, Majors was found guilty of assault and harassment, but was cleared of an additional assault charge and aggravated harassment.

Jabbari’s lawsuit also criticizes Majors’ interview with ABC News, broadcast less than a month after his conviction. She claims that during the interview, he “deliberately made knowingly false claims” about their March 2023 altercation, accusing him and his legal counsel of defamation.

“The false claims made by Majors personally, and through his authorized agent Chaudhry, not only questioned the Plaintiff’s honesty and integrity but also exposed her to public loathing, scorn, mockery, and disgrace,” the lawsuit asserts.

Jabbari has requested a jury trial and is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Confronting the possibility of a year in jail, Majors is scheduled to be sentenced on April 8. The sentencing, originally slated for February, has been postponed to address defense motions.
