YouTube rolled out a new feature, that lets the user switch between the audio or video mode. And this feature is on five million songs in the platform right now.
If you open YouTube now you will see two buttons at the top of the app. One says song and the other says video. Also, when you tap on the video, you reach the song’s official video. And that happens too without any pauses or buffering.
But if you just wanted to hear the song, like on spotify, then you can click audio. Then listen to the Mp3 of the song with a cover art. The coolest thing about the switch is, when that happens, the song jumps to the exact part of the video or audio you are on. That means, it does not start all the way from the beginning.
Those who love videos, and want to just use YouTube for it then you can set your app accordingly. .Head to the settings. And then turn off the music video option by toggling on “don’t play music videos.”
There are many features that YouTube added recently. One of them is the “Offline mixtapes”. This feature helps the users to automatically download hundreds of songs when enabled based on the music the user listens to.
The other feature is the ‘smart download’, that lets users save 100 to 500 songs on their device based on user’s liked songs, favourite playlists, and also frequented albums.
