Legendary Bing Crosby’s Widow & Actress Kathryn Crosby Dies at 90 – Shocking Details!

Kathryn Crosby, known for her roles in films like “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad,” “Anatomy of a Murder,” and “Operation Mad Ball,” and also as the wife of the renowned singer and Academy Award-winning actor Bing Crosby, has passed away at the age of 90.

A representative for the family stated on Saturday that she passed away at her residence in Hillsborough, a city in Northern California, on Friday evening due to natural causes.

Known by her stage name Kathryn Grant, she starred alongside Tony Curtis in “Mister Cory” in 1957 and Victor Mature in “The Big Circus” in 1959. She worked with Phil Karlson, a renowned director of film noir, in five movies, including “Tight Spot” and “The Phenix City Story,” both released in 1955.

Other notable actors she shared the screen with include Jack Lemmon in “Operation Mad Ball,” James Darren in “The Brothers Rico,” and James Stewart in “Anatomy of a Murder,” which was directed by Otto Preminger.

Born as Olive Kathryn Grandstaff on November 25, 1933, in West Columbia, Texas, she earned her fine arts degree from the University of Texas. She moved to Hollywood and initiated her film career in 1953.

She met Bing Crosby while conducting interviews for a column she wrote about Hollywood for her local newspaper. They got married in 1957, when she was 23 and he was 54.

After their marriage, Crosby reduced her acting engagements, although she frequently appeared with Crosby and their three children in his Christmas television specials and in commercials for Minute Maid orange juice. She became a registered nurse in 1963.

From 1985 to 2001, she hosted the Crosby National golf tournament in Bermuda Run, N.C. for 16 years.

She is survived by her children Harry; Mary, an actor most recognized for the TV show “Dallas”; and Nathaniel, a successful amateur golfer. She was married to Maurice Sullivan for a decade before he tragically died in a car accident in 2010, which also severely injured Crosby.
