Taylor Swift rules the charts. It is not a new thing for her to top any music list. The fan favourite always makes music that is a treat to the ears. Recently she released her new song “You need to calm down”, and the internet can’t stop talking about it.

The music video has 53 Million views in a week. Taylor has not left any stone unturned when it has come to this video. She made the video a star studded affair. The cherry on the top of this video, is Katy Perry dressed in her Met Gala dress like a burger, and Taylor Swift dressed as French Fries. And the long standing feud between the singers finally came to an end.

Taylor also featured the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Ryan Reynolds in the video. The song “You need to calm down”, is not just a musical production but it is a song supporting the LGBTQ+ Community. That is what makes the song unique and so loved.

“I Don’t Care”, a collaboration of Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber got dethroned by Taylor Swift’s “You need to calm down”. The video of “I don’t care”, got 136M Views in a month. But Taylor’s new single climbed fifteen places to number 1 on the Official Big Top 40.

“You need to calm down” is Taylor’s fourth Number 1 on the UK’s biggest chart show, and her second in 2019. The first one was “Me”, her song with Dave Meyers. Now Sheeran and Justin’s “I don’t care”, is on the number 2 spot, followed by Little Mix’s “Bounce Back”.

Even after the success of her song, many are hating her because of her content in the song. Taylor is not new to hatred, but now she is being called a straight woman singer profiting from the gay culture.

Taylor Swift is quiet about political issues. And the fact that she has now spoken up through her song is raising many eyebrows. The singer is undeterred by all the criticism.
