Barry Keoghan Totally Smitten with Sabrina Carpenter at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Bash!

“Billie Eilish? Billie Eilish, your ride’s here,” a traffic coordinator called out over his loudspeaker.

There’s something uniquely equalizing about the Vanity Fair Oscar party. In a room filled with the who’s who of Hollywood, no one really stands out. And at the end of the night, everyone exits onto Santa Monica Boulevard in a manner reminiscent of a school pickup line for celebrities. As the renowned event wound down late Sunday night, guests gathered under heat lamps, waiting for their names to be called out by the traffic coordinator. Many were clad in complimentary hotel slippers provided at the roadside departure tent, bracing the cold until it was finally their turn to board a Sprinter van.

Before everyone departed to nurse their tired feet or make their way to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s exclusive Gold Party, The Times managed to get a sneak peek into the evening’s best gossip. Here are four of the most unforgettable moments:

1. Lenny Kravitz: The biggest secret Kylie Minogue fan in the world? That seemed to be the case when he walked up to the “Padam Padam” singer, dramatically swept her into his arms and profusely complimented her for a whole five minutes. “You! You’re a badass!” he exclaimed. “No, I love you. Seriously, babe. Respect.”

2. Yes, the Vanity Fair party is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Funke, the trendy Italian joint in Beverly Hills. But not every star at the Sunday night’s event was acquainted with the restaurant, which hosted Kim Kardashian’s 43rd birthday last year. The restaurant’s chef, Evan Funke, was there making pizzas on the outdoor patio for guests.

“That was the best pizza I’ve ever had,” Melissa McCarthy told Funke after tasting a lemon-flavored white slice.

“Oh, yeah?” he responded. “Do you want to come to my restaurant and eat? I’ll give you my card.”

McCarthy took his card and stashed it in her sparkly cannoli-shaped purse, which was turning heads at the pizza bar. “It was, like, $20. I thought it was amusing, like, ‘Leave the gun, take the cannoli,'” she joked, referencing a line from “The Godfather.”

As she walked away, Funke turned to his coworker and grinned. “She has my card now,” he whispered.

3. After traveling all the way to Singapore to watch Sabrina Carpenter perform as the opening act for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, it appears Barry Keoghan is smitten with his new girlfriend. The pair were practically inseparable throughout the night, with Keoghan unabashedly getting handsy with Carpenter at any given opportunity.

Carpenter seemed equally happy to flaunt her new boyfriend, introducing him to anyone she bumped into at the party. When she introduced him to Claudia Sulewski, Finneas O’Connell’s girlfriend, she did take the time to clarify his outfit choice.

“He’s not a show-off. He had a jacket on,” she said, regarding the mesh, see-through tank top the “Saltburn” actor was now wearing.

O’Connell chimed in to give Carpenter his newly won Oscar statue for original song. She pretended to be taken aback by its weight, and then Sulewski snapped a photo of her cradling the trophy like a newborn. Carpenter then attempted to hand it to Keoghan, but he refused, gesturing at the statue as if it were a hot potato that could potentially curse him with bad luck.

The lovebirds did manage to find a few moments apart, during which Keoghan approached Larry David. “I just want to say I’m a huge fan,” the Irish actor told the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star, who was slouched in a chair looking rather unhappy. “Anyway, I’ll let you be.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter joined a group of women marveling at Vanessa Hudgens’ pregnancy physique. “You should teach a master class in how to slay while pregnant,” suggested Joey King. “I want to get pregnant just so I can have those boobs,” Carpenter chimed in.

4. Just because you’ve worked with Jennifer Coolidge doesn’t mean she’ll always recognize you. Sydney Sweeney, who starred alongside the comedian in the first season of “White Lotus,” excitedly approached Coolidge, only to be met with a moment of confusion.

“Hi,” Coolidge responded politely, before realizing that Sweeney was not a stranger, but a co-star. “Oh, my God! Hi!”

To be fair, Sweeney had debuted a new bob haircut that night. But Coolidge’s companion had no trouble identifying the young star, quickly launching into a series of questions about her recent gig hosting “Saturday Night Live.”

“The hardest part was changing costumes in real-time and rushing to the next scene,” she told Coolidge and her companion.

Her anecdote was interrupted by Riz Ahmed, who told both actors that he was a fan and then asked if they had attended the ceremony earlier in the night. When they said they hadn’t, Ahmed took the chance to fill them in on what they’d missed. “They did this thing that was incredibly touching where they had past winners present the awards to the new winners,” he said. “It was really quite emotional.”
