All of us are in lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, Celebrities, and common man alike. Musicians like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Jared Leto are going live and sharing their music. Like them, Charli XCX has also decided to release her musical creation in this lockdown.
She said that the lockdown has forced her to use the instruments that are available at her disposal. Charli was bound to create music without any fancy equipment. She has not only composed the music but has also created a video.
The album is uniquely based on the feelings felt by the musician during the lockdown. It follows the UK garage and Baltimore club music style. This album is the follow up of last September’s album, “Charli.”
Charli has also released the newest song of the album called “Claws.” She wrote this music, which is representative of the feeling of being quarantined. The video of the single is co-directed by Charlotte Rutherford. She has used a green background for the video. The green screen is used to create new worlds from her basement.
A few days back, Charli had shares some videos of her shooting the musical video of Claws from her basement. On a live session with 1000 of her fans, she urged them to record their interpretation of the video and share it with her. Fans are eagerly waiting for her album release on May 15th. Lockdown has added more excitement to new music releases.
