It is raining good news for cinephiles who have piles of money. They can now bid to buy cars that featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. The cars were driven by the superstars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt’s character’s Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth, respectively. The film was an ode to 1960s Los Angeles, thus featuring many vintage cars that included the MG TD and the classic British roadster.

The cars will be up for auction on 26th August and the event hosted by Prop store will culminate on 27th August evening. It is supposed to be a massive memorabilia event hosted by auctioneers who are based in London and Los Angeles. The people who want to register for the event can do so online and then bid virtually for the cars.

Currently, the car- yellow Cadillac Coupe deVille is estimated to be of $45,000 to $55,000, while the less flashy, pastel colored Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is estimated to be between $20,000 and $30,000. Brad Pitt driven Volkswagen Karmann Ghia received ample screen time in the film. It is predominantly featured in the famous night driving scene and as well as flashy J-turn scenes.

The auction will see many other movie props with the cars. There will be John Candy’s Barf costume from “Spaceballs,” Rocky Balboa’s boxing gloves from “Rocky,” Michael Corleone’s Miami suit from “The Godfather,” Obi-Wan Kenobi’s dueling lightsaber hilt from the “Star Wars” films, Tom’s Cruise’s fighter pilot helmet from “Top Gun,” an Alfred Hitchcock movie camera from the making of “Vertigo,” one of Jennifer Lawrence’s costumes from “The Hunger Games,” a miniature model of the Nostromo from “Alien,” and many such famous props from famous films.
