Kangana Ranaut has said that the movie mafia has always systematically sabotaged careers of emerging talented outsiders like Sushant Singh Rajput. She shared, she was told by Aditya Chopra that her career is finished when she refused to work in Salman Khan starrer Sultan. She blamed Yash Raj Films for mentally harassing Sushant Singh Rajput and Karan Johar’s Dharma Films for making Drive to only sabotage his career. She said the best scripts are given to nepo kids while the outsiders get the worst out of all.
Ranaut shared that Yash Raj Films didn’t allow Rajput to work in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films. She said the recent investigation by Mumbai Police is a complete sham as they have not interrogated the powerful people who had part to play in the late actor’s career.
Former actor and TV show host Simi Garewal has tweeted and lauded Ranaut for her brave comments on nepotism and bullying in the Hindi film industry. She also faced the same things but she was not so brave to come out and express it all. Powerful people viciously destroyed her career too. She further added that Sushant Singh Rajput’s death may be the harbinger of an awakening in Bollywood.
Kangana’s ex-boyfriend, actor Adhyayan Suman, referred to her as brave and said it is important to let go of the past and support someone like her who is trying to fight for the greater good as many people are scared to speak up but she has taken a brave step against bullying in the industry.
Ranaut also revealed Mahesh Bhatt threw his footwear at her when she rejected his film and questioned its content and Javed Akhtar asked her to apologize to Hrithik Roshan or she will have to commit suicide as she would have no other place to go. The actress has said she will return her Padma Shri if her claims are proved wrong.
