With Dabangg 3 all set to enter into its third week, the box office collections of the film are staying low to a great extent. Also, if we consider the expectations that were set high through the makers and the entire team, they seem like they were not able to follow through. However, the numbers at the box office aren’t in anyone’s hands except the viewers.
Although on Friday, the film collected about 1 crore at the box-office, facing stiff competition from Good Newwz that took away most of the screens. With Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior releasing this weekend, the movie will gradually lose more screens. The film, so far, has managed to collect about 148.80 crores at the Indian box-office. With some push this Friday, the movie has entered into the 150 crores club.
As the numbers are being analyzed, it is highly unlikely that the film will reach 200 crores. During this weekend, it is expected to add some more numbers to its box-office collections. However, it wouldn’t be sufficient for us to say that the movie has underperformed because of many obvious reasons, especially when it’s a Salman Khan starrer movie.
Similar to that of Dabangg 3, Race 3, which also starred Salman Khan in the lead roles, had managed to gross just 169 crores at the box-office last year. It would be exciting to see if Dabangg 3 can manage to outperform the box-office collections of Race 3 soon. So stay tuned for that. Did you get a chance to watch Dabang 3?
