Is Season 3 of Maxton Hall Coming after Unfair End for Ruby? Find Out Now!

The situation is going downhill for our ill-fated lovers. Prime Video has released the last episode of the second season of Maxton Hall, and things are spiraling out of control for Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung). Mortimer, James’ father, has succeeded in ruining Ruby’s life.

In the sixth episode of the second season of Maxton Hall, Mortimer faces a setback: the main shareholder of Beaufort Company has decided to quit. In retaliation, the businessman buys the bakery where Ruby’s mother works, leaving her jobless. But he doesn’t stop there.

Just as Ruby, who has been previously denied a scholarship and is trying to find another one, is summoned by the school principal. He reveals to her, with photographic evidence, that he is aware of her affair with Mr. Sutton. Despite her attempts to reason with him, Ruby gets expelled and is thus denied entry to Oxford University, which she has always dreamt of.

It’s a heavy blow for Ruby who sees her life ruined because she fell in love with a wealthy heir. But on the bright side, she will get a chance to retaliate against Mortimer in the third season of Maxton Hall, which has been announced by Prime Video.

What will the third season of Maxton Hall be about?

We will have to wait until 2026 or even 2027 to reunite with our star-crossed lovers. The third season of Maxton Hall, which is based on the third and final book of Mona Kasten’s series, will mark the end of Ruby and James’ journey. Our two favorite heroes will fight against these injustices, as the book’s synopsis suggests:

Ruby is in shock: she has been suspended from Maxton Hall school. And the worst part: all evidence points to James being responsible for this situation. Ruby can’t believe it – not after everything they’ve been through together. She thought she had met the real James: the one who has dreams, the one who makes her laugh and whose mere gaze makes her heart beat faster. But while Ruby is fighting to get her diploma despite everything, James once again risks being crushed under his family obligations. And both of them must wonder if the worlds they live in are not ultimately too different…

The series will take some liberties with Mona Kasten’s novel as they will confront Mortimer hand in hand in hopes to continue their romance. While Ruby must focus on her studies, James and his sister will have to prove that their mother’s will is forged. And for this, they can count on the help of their Aunt Ophelia.
