Unbelievable! Heidi Klum Transforms into E.T. for Her Epic Halloween Costume!

On Thursday night, supermodel Heidi Klum and her spouse Tom Kaulitz took a cosmic trip by transforming into characters from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for Klum’s yearly Halloween celebration.

Known for her extravagant Halloween costumes, the star of “America’s Got Talent” and “Project Runway” has previously donned outfits ranging from a multi-person peacock, an intricate butterfly, a worm, a detailed cadaver, and Fiona from “Shrek,” among others. She is also famous for her transformation into an older version of herself.

This year, Klum drew inspiration from a beloved Hollywood film, enlisting the help of a team of prosthetic and special-effects makeup artists to create their E.T. costumes. Kaulitz represented the traditional version of the title character from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 movie, while Klum portrayed E.T.’s disguised form. Both of them featured the alien’s iconic glowing finger.

“Since I began planning my outfit for the 25th edition of #HeidiHalloween, one of my favorite films became my source of inspiration,” Klum, 51, posted on Instagram on Friday, including a behind-the-scenes video of the lengthy costuming process.

“As a nine-year-old in Germany, E.T. opened my eyes to the possibility of life beyond our planet. So, for the past year, we’ve all been brainstorming about how to put my personal touch on such a well-known character,” she wrote. “I know E.T. wanted to go home, but I hope that if the movie was set in 2024, my favorite extra-terrestrial would attend my party instead.”

Klum’s 23rd annual Halloween party was held at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City and boasted a large number of celebrity attendees. Klum confided to USA Today earlier this week that her annual bash originated from the lack of “really cool” Halloween parties in New York. Her party and elaborate costumes have become a cultural staple for the holiday, and she began the event earlier this week with a symbolic illumination of the Empire State Building.

Klum and Kaulitz’s faces were visible through the necks of their respective outfits, which incorporated 3-D printed suits and digital sculptures on their heads to replicate E.T.’s animatronic head.

The project was described as an inventive “full movie build” by one artist involved. Klum also revealed that she would have to wear adult diapers to last the entire night without needing to use the restroom.

“I want to thank my husband for always being willing to dress up with me year after year, and I extend my gratitude to the best, most talented team who took my ambitious dream and made it a reality. I couldn’t do it without you,” Klum expressed in her Instagram caption.

Among those present were Klum’s daughter, Leni, who also dressed as an alien, Kelsea Ballerini and boyfriend Chase Stokes donning Danny and Sandy from “Grease,” Nicole Scherzinger as her bloody “Sunset Boulevard” character, and TikToker Charli D’Amelio as a “Black Swan” ballerina.

Questlove played the role of the event’s DJ, and other guests included Bethenny Frankel, Marc Jacobs, Eric Andre, the Elevator Boys, Ice T and Coco, Jay Manuel, and Jonathan Van Ness.

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Grammy winner Janelle Monáe was seen embodying the same iconic ‘80s character for her Halloween party in Los Angeles. Her E.T. outfit featured animatronic eyes, a glowing yellow finger, and the creature’s distinctive voice.

When questioned by the Associated Press about her twinning with Klum, Monáe complimented her New York counterpart: “There can be two Hallo-queens. I adore Heidi.”
