Shocking Love Triangle? Mohamed Torn Between Baya & Eden in ‘All for the Light’ – Exclusive!

In “All for the Light,” students are tasked with learning a Bachata choreography blindfolded. This provided an opportunity for the AlloCiné editorial team to ask Abdellah Boujalal about his experience with the task!

Is there a new love triangle brewing in “All for the Light?” While Baya (played by Louve Le Coadou) and Mohamed are in their own little world, it’s hard not to notice that Baya is still very much attracted to Eden (played by Clément Massy), despite their familial bonds.

So, how does her best friend feel about this undeniable yet forbidden chemistry? We asked Abdellah Boujalal this question and also took the opportunity to discuss the blindfolded Bachata choreography. Here’s what he had to say!

Allociné: During the Sun King show, Baya seems somewhat dazzled by Eden, and it’s clear that Mohamed can feel it too. How is he dealing with this?

Abdellah Boujalal (Mohamed): At that moment, he’s feeling somewhat sour. But he doesn’t really understand why. He tries to reassure himself. His feelings for Baya are clear. But beyond that, Mohamed is a bit of a flirt. We saw this at the beginning with Justine (Prudence Leroy). Now, it’s different because he’s almost jealous. He’s really smitten with his relationship with Baya.

It seems like this is going to continue, and there will be times when his jealousy will be tested. Does he always feel like he’s competing with Eden in some way?

He knows very well that an affair between the two is impossible. Yet, he’s witnessing a chemistry that is undeniable. He’s somewhat torn. He’s constantly trying to reassure himself and look on the bright side.

We saw this in the Bachata episode. At first, his blindfolded experience is challenging, but eventually, he accepts it. He’s like, “Don’t worry, we’ll be together another time, go dance with Eden, it’s okay.

Speaking of which, how was the experience of learning the blindfolded Bachata choreography?

It was a bit intense. I’m not accustomed to dancing. Traditional choreographies like the one for the “All for the Light” theme song, for example, are okay.

But Bachata is quite technical. I was a bit panicked at first. But then our choreographer, Ophélie, who is really cool, helped us get into the groove, especially with our hips. But it’s true that there was double, even triple work for Louve and me. First, we had to learn the choreography. Then we had to practice it blindfolded.

The third challenge was learning the mistakes in the choreography because we had to be completely out of sync. That was an additional difficulty, because we had initially learned the correct choreography.

How does Mohamed feel when Marina forces Baya and Eden to work together?

At first, he’s really bummed out, I think it’s obvious, he’s quite upset. Then, it’s more Baya who gets carried away and in the end, it’s Mohamed who somewhat reassures her by saying, “Well don’t worry, everyone does their part and everything will go just fine.”
