Marvel Meets Walking Dead: Unseen MCU in Shocking New Series! You Won’t Believe It!

Take an exclusive look at this new series on Disney+ that brings a fresh perspective to one of the most renowned film sagas.

Marvel fans might think they’ve seen it all, but this new series is here to prove them wrong. In 2026, the MCU aims to achieve another hit with the highly anticipated releases of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday. However, the superhero franchise doesn’t need to wait until next year to surprise us with original productions.

Inspired by a Comic from The Walking Dead Creator

As evident today, the new series Marvel Zombies, available on Disney+, does just that. Drawing inspiration from the namesake comic by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), this animated production explores an alternate MCU, where a zombie virus decimates the world of Marvel superheroes.

The series is akin to a spin-off of the animated series Marvel’s What If, also available on the platform. An episode from this anthology had previously envisioned what the Marvel universe would look like with zombies.

As you might have guessed: Marvel Zombies is not the kind of series designed to link with other Marvel works. This standalone series, appealing both to horror genre fans and superhero enthusiasts, is intended solely to provide entertainment to a broad audience.

Marvel – Not Just for Kids

However, the series isn’t for everyone. By not shying away from graphic violence and delightfully gory deaths, Marvel Zombies underscores Marvel Studios’ intent to broaden their range of productions aimed at an older audience. This was already seen with Deadpool & Wolverine and the first season of Daredevil: Born Again.

MCU fans will be pleased to see a host of iconic heroes, most of whom are voiced by their film actors in the original version: Shang-Chi, Scarlet Witch, Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, and Ironheart. Marvel Zombies will also introduce a new version of Blade (but not the one from the reboot with Mahershala Ali, whose filming is yet to start).

You can catch the animated series Marvel Zombies exclusively on Disney+ now.
