Sweet Home – two seasons available

What do viewers think? (average rating of 3.7 out of 5)

According to Pascal I (3.5/5):

“S01 Very dramatic, claustrophobic, gory, suspenseful, apocalyptic, horrifying, great effects, uncompromising and captivating. Good direction that doesn’t revolutionize the genre but manages to combine a multitude of themes. Worth watching!

S02 Pretty much in the same vein as S01, striking. On the other hand, too many drawn-out scenes with dialogues that get bogged down. The 8 episodes seemed a bit long for the content delivered.”

According to Nanoune (5/5):

“Excellent, this series is a killer which is becoming rare when it comes to productions created by Netflix. The special effects scenes and action scenes are spectacular especially concerning the monsters it’s superbly done, the cast is very good and the plot is great, it’s definitely worth watching.”

According to Olivier Acker (4/5):

“Violent, surprising, and inventive. Sweet Home is a pleasant surprise. To top it off, the special effects are very successful. The creatures are superb.”

All of Us Are Dead

All Of Us Are Dead – one season available

What do viewers think? (average rating of 3.8 out of 5)

According to Fanny B (4/5):

“Not bad at all, at first I thought it was more of a series for teenagers, but really the actors I think they play terribly well .. a nice little series..”

According to stephie n (5/5):

“Very good series, the actors play rather well, I am rather satisfied with the zombies. It’s in the style of the last train to Busan which I had already loved, you shouldn’t get attached to the characters. I hope for a season 2 because I can’t stay on such an end.”

According to Kevin Garcia (2.5/5):

“Far too many episodes for far too little plot, it blabs indefinitely, we lose the rhythm. Nothing innovative, a series that takes the codes of the zombie pandemic, without bringing anything original. We sometimes sigh wondering when things will finally move forward, the teens their reports… no, I would have preferred a sequel to High school of the dead and its little WTF side typically manga.”

Hellbound

What’s it about?

While humans discover the possibility of anticipating their own death, angels are tasked with sending those who use this gift straight to hell. For some, these angels are God’s envoys, while others wish to investigate their real origin.

Hellbound – one season available

What do viewers think? (average rating of 3.4 out of 5)

According to Soyez D. (4.5/5):

“Once again, the South Koreans hit hard. Series without cliché, without fear of going all the way. A series that is not there to impose a way of thinking that we want universal. It rips!!! Bravo and thank you for entertaining us to this extent.”

According to Jean Redon (4/5):

“The Koreans are very strong in terms of cinema. This series is horrible, distressing but interesting. The most terrifying monsters are not what we think. Very good series.”

According to InfiKnight (2/5):

“Series watchable without more. It’s slow the scenario goes off more often than we think and especially we don’t advance in the story an unpleasant impression of standing still at each episode and in the end at the end of season 1 we realize that it’s not just an impression we really do stand still from the beginning.”

Kingdom

What’s it about?

In a kingdom plagued by corruption and famine, a mysterious plague spreads and the dead turn into monsters. The crown prince, accused of treason but determined to save his people, sets out to discover the origin of this evil lurking in the shadows.

Kingdom – two seasons available + one special episode

What do viewers think? (average rating of 4.2 out of 5)

According to Mickael Eloire (5/5):

“Wow, what a killer!!! An underestimated series but absolutely huge. The script and the actors’ performances are extraordinary. Twists and turns, action and emotion. We still want more!! Really a big crush for this Korean gem!”

According to elriad (4/5):

“If the zombie theme has been exploited to the point of overdose, this little series from South Korea, known for the quality of their productions, manages to surprise and interest by the change of scenery since we are here in an ancient kingdom, that the decors, costumes are neat. If we ignore the emphasized game of the actors, the series is watched with pleasure, and the Zombies, here awakened by a mysterious plant, are fast and very aggressive. To see for the fans of the genre…”

According to Aymeric L (5/5):

“Excellent surprise. This South Korean zombie series makes the walkers of The Walking Dead look like amateurs. We recognize the martial arts style in the fight scenes between zombies and humans. The dynamic is completely different, we have the zombies in the background of the struggle for power in a medieval South Korea.

The story is simple and ultra effective, punctuated by betrayals, plots and magnificent heroic acts. All in splendid, ultra stylized settings, well helped by the beauty of typical Asian monuments. This mix is particularly successful, I had a real crush on this series with suspense, action, and moments of particularly poignant bravery exacerbated by codes of honor and sacrifice.”

Happiness

What’s it about?

With the construction of the city’s brand new residential skyscraper finally completed, Officer Yoon Sae Bom is excited to move in. Having long dreamed of the day when she could settle into her new apartment, Sae Bom is thrilled to finally have a place where she can comfortably rest from the rigors of her job as a member of one of the city’s special police units.

With her longtime friend and fellow police officer, Detective Jung Yi Hyun also moving in, Sae Bom is convinced that this new home will bring her all the happiness she desires. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long.

Happiness – one season available

What do viewers think? (average rating of 3.4 out of 5)

According to Valentin Gigot (4/5):

“A nice series, with a scenario and plans that turn in loop, but the characters are endearing and it’s pleasant to follow them to the end and see how it ends.”

According to Mortoeil Mantis (4/5):

“I liked the series with good actors and actresses that I adore a lot, but at the end of the series we see Jung Yi Hyun die from bullets and all his injuries, but really why is he alive during the passage of the little girl who runs into Sae Bom’s arms, when in the base he was dying in Sae Bom’s arms if I write it well, here it is just that I did not understand.”

According to chris75000 (1.5/5):

“Happiness or the zombie series that does stronger than The Walking Dead! It’s quite simple, the episodes follow one another, and nothing happens, worse the series loops… Only Korean exoticism brings a little originality to this dead-living series.

And yet, the behaviors and relationships between the characters are governed by such particular codes that it is difficult to fully grasp the stakes of this closed-door. As for the zombie threat, it seems so invisible and harmless that we end up forgetting about it. Happiness is a post-apocalyptic soap opera.”
