Chhapaak, the film that showcases a story of the acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, has failed to pick up at the box-offices when numbers are taken into consideration. This Deepika Padukone starrer movie has managed to cross about 28.38 crores overall at the box-office until its till date run.
Although the content of the film is garnering positive reviews from the critics and audiences, the numbers are not increasing at all at the box-office. Now, this is something, which has become a serious concern for the makers of Chhapaak. Also, facing stiff competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the movie starring Deepika and Vikrant Massey is unable to collect good numbers at the box office.
The film is expected to wrap up collecting another 2 to 3 crores at the box-office if the numbers don’t increase in the next two to three days. The Saturday shows also don’t look convincing, with just 10 to 12 percent occupancy being recorded during the morning shows.
Although word of mouth from audience looks good, the film is facing difficult times in collecting cash at the box-office. For Deepika Padukone, it’s a tough time to see such a great movie not minting money at the box-office, especially when she is making her comeback with this film.
