The film has collected about 64.99 crores in its first weekend release in the Indian subcontinent. Besides this, the film is also going pretty well in the International markets as stated by the market experts.
Good Newwz is setting records for Akshay Kumar in the overseas market as it has managed to gross about $3.39 million (24.19 crores) in the International market. It is known to be the highest-grossing film for Akshay Kumar in the overseas market to date. It has surpassed many big movies if territorial break-ups are taken into consideration.
As per numbers are concerned, in the USA and Canada markets, this family entertainer movie has managed to gross about $1.58 million, crossing the box-office numbers of Mission Mangal that collected about $1.10 million during its first-weekend release. It also passed the box-office collections of Housefull 3 and 4, which collected about $658k and $865k respectively.
If UK’s market collections are considered, it collected about $384k, surpassing Housefull 3’s box-office collection that was around $381k and Housefull 4’s box-collection that stands at $296k in its first week. Similarly, in the Australian, New Zealand, and Fiji market, the film has managed to gross about $474k, making it the highest opening weekend for Akshay Kumar till date.
