Is The Witcher Ending? Shocking News About Henry Cavill’s Absence!

Netflix has greenlit a 5th season for “The Witcher”, which is declared as the final season and the series is now headlined by Liam Hemsworth.

Fans of The Witcher were left wondering if the series could endure the exit of its lead actor, Henry Cavill. The actor decided to leave the show after season 3 due to creative differences with Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the showrunner.

It has been confirmed that Liam Hemsworth will replace him starting from season 4 as the Witcher Geralt of Rivia. The younger brother of Chris Hemsworth (Thor) has already started his training, indicating that the shooting for season 4 will commence shortly. A casting video shared on social media later confirmed the resumption of the show’s production.

In a surprising move, Netflix has announced the imminent end of the series. However, fans can rest assured as the show will not end with season 4 but will conclude with a newly announced fifth season.

Three of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books are yet to be adapted: The Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and The Lady of the Lake. The adaptation of these three novels will be condensed into two seasons, suggesting that the series will end earlier than expected.

Currently in production, season 4 of The Witcher will not be available until sometime in 2025. The first three seasons are now available on Netflix.
