After her stellar performance in Bajirao Mastani as Kashi Bai, all the Priyanka Chopra fans were eagerly waiting for her comeback. While many were expecting her to make a comeback with the movie “Bharat”, it wasn’t the case.
The actress wanted out of the movie because of her engagement with singer Nick Jonas. Salman Khan was offended by this gesture and left no stone unturned in taking a jibe at Priyanka Chopra during the promotions of the movie. In many interviews he is seen saying ”Thank You, Priyanka”. He even made a controversial statement that, she left the biggest movie of her career to marry a guy.
Priyanka did not make her comeback with Bharat. But she made her comeback with producing “The Sky is Pink”. The movie is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who is a motivational speaker. She was diagnosed with immune deficiency disorder at the age of 13. The movie is about her inspirational journey.
Priyanka flew in last week to wrap up the movie. And her hubby Nick Jonas posted a picture of them together, telling her he already misses her.
The wrap party of the movie was on Tuesday. The party was attended by Ronnie Screwvala and Sidharth Roy Kapur, the producers, and Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, the cast members. Farhan Akhtar missed the bash, but Shonali Bose, the director made it to the wrap party.
Priyanka shared a picture of the crew on her instagram handle, she captioned it “And it’s a wrap. This movie is special to me on so many levels. Not just because @roykapurfilms and @rsvpmovies (Sid and Ronnie) partnered with me on my first Hindi production… but also took the chance on me to bring to life a character and a true story that needed to be told. @farautakhtar you made an amazing co-actor all over again with all the laughter and fun!( you were missed tonight) and my amazing @zairawasim_ and @rohitsaraf10 who I’ve made friends for life with! This was the hardest and loveliest experience. Thank you@shonalibose_ for your incredibly unique vision. I’m so proud of your faith in me. Thank you so much to Our crew who worked tirelessly for 10 months to make this special piece of cinema. I love you all. See you at the picture!!!”
The movie is set to hit the silver screen on October 2019. And it will be Priyanka’s comeback movie in Bollywood.
