Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have finally decided to move on, burying their 10 year long hatchet. Both have thrown shade on one another, and the feud goes way back. It started when both of them were on their way to fame. Swift used to date John Mayer and wrote a song ‘Dear John’ in 2010 after their break up. And in 2012, Perry and John Mayer got involved. That did not sit well with the artist and it started years long feud.

Later Taylor Swift was asked by Rolling Stone on her inspiration behind ‘Bad Blood‘. And she very subtly tried to answer it without mentioning Perry’s name. She accused the Roar Singer of stealing her dancers and sabotaging her entire arena tour. Swift clearly mentioned to Rolling Stone that the Bad Blood between them wasn’t about a guy but because of professional rivalry.

Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood and Katy Perry’s Swish Swish are diss tracks written to throw each other down. But as of lately, fans are noticing subtle changes in both of the singers. It is about time they both end the petty feud.

On May 29, Taylor Swift posted a photo of her with her new cat Benjamin Button. Fans noticed that someone unlikely liked her post. Katy Perry liked the picture and made the first move. Not long after that Tay Tay added Perry’s new single “Never Really Over” to her curated playlist.

It seems like both have sent each other olive branches and will finally put the feud to rest. It may also be a sign of the duo working together on a new project. When Perry was asked on iheart Radio Music awards whether she would work with Taylor Swift, she said she was open to it.

Taylor Swift is still working on her upcoming album, and is very hush hush about the album’s name. But based on the hints she has dropped, it might be “Lover”.
