After many controversies with the media, and her antics with her sister, Kangana did not step back. She forged ahead and made her movie a huge success. The opening of the movie wasn’t so great. But on Saturday, the movie collected Rs. 7 Crores, which was more than its first day at Rs. 4 crores.
Kangana Ranaut’s last movie Manikarnika did better than this at the first day of Box Office with a Rs. 8.75 crores opening. This was a slow start, but the audience are catching up with the good content.
The movie features Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao. Rao’s last movie was opposite Sonam Kapoor “Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga”. But the movie just made a Rs. 3 crore opening. Now, that makes Judgemental Hai Kya look good.
The movie is a psychological black comedy. And it revolves around Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao’s characters as the suspects. Also, the movie received positive feedback from the critics and now everyone wants to watch it.
Opposite Judgemental Hai Kya, is the Hollywood giant “The Lion King”. And the movie isn’t just a fan favourite but has voice overs of Shahrukh Khan and his son. The Lion King has a lot of audience, it had a great growth on its second Saturday. It earned Rs. 11.50 crore, and it entered a Rs. 100 Crore club on Sunday. This says how successful the movie actually is.
Other than the favourites, the movies like “Arjun Patiala”, also hit the silver screen. But no amount of promotions could save the movie from its lack of vitality. The movie stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon. It only made Rs. 1.25 crores on Friday, and collected just Rs. 1.50 crores on Saturday.
Super 30 of Hrithik Roshan also made a decent collection in its third week. And it collected Rs. 4.50 crores on its third Saturday, taking its collection to Rs. 120 crores.
