YouTube Music team is working on adding new features to their service as Google Play Music readies itself to shut down. YouTube music needs to actively change the game for itself as it is new compared to its competitors in the music streaming scene. They are trying their best to level up their game with different offers for their listeners. There has been minor to major changes in putting out quality from their end.
Recently, the platform introduced the option of uploading music which garnered praise from new artists. The player page has been redesigned keeping in thoughts the changes suggested by listeners. There is an ‘Explore’ tab available that lets the listener explore various themes, voices, albums which has caught the attention of many. It is considered especially useful by the Android app users. They have specifically looked after the Android user it seems.
There has been a particular feature added specifically for them. The android users can now swipe left or right on the album art to change songs. Earlier it was possible only if they pressed the previous and next buttons, making it difficult to tap as the user was not able to glance directly at their phone. The YouTube Music users were asking for an album art swiping feature since quite long.
The company finally paid heed to the request and now added the basic feature that’s found in all the other music players. These player buttons are updated versions where they trigger a smooth animation when tracks are being switched. So the wait by the users has been sweet.
The new version is available for some users for now and there is no way to manually enable the feature via a setting or APK update. So others will need to wait patiently for the server-side update. Till then the users can download the latest version of the YouTube Music app for Android from the Google Play Store link and listen to their favorite songs while exploring new ones.
