The series “All’s Fair” makes its debut on Disney+ today and it’s already being hailed as the pop culture sensation of the year’s end!
There are TV shows whose star-studded cast alone is enough to create buzz. With Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, and… Kim Kardashian in leading roles, the new series by acclaimed creator Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Monster) is landing on Disney+ today. With its luxurious cars, perfect hairstyles, and high-fashion legal battles, All’s Fair is shaping up to be the unmissable pop culture moment of the year’s end.

What’s it about?
A team of divorce attorneys leave a predominantly male law firm to open their own elite firm.
Fierce, brilliant, and complex, they navigate through eight-figure contracts, scandalous secrets of high society, and uncertain alliances, both in court and within their own ranks. In a world where money rules and love is a battlefield, these women don’t just play the game, they change it.
A Feast of Stars
Beyond the impressive lineup of stars from film, television, and reality TV, All’s Fair is also the latest creation from the world’s highest paid screenwriter: Ryan Murphy. Fresh off the monumental success of “The Story of Ed Gein” last month, the famed creator of Nip/Tuck and Glee is now working with Disney+, his exclusive contract with Netflix having ended.
Hulu
While the details of his current deal with Disney are unknown, our colleagues at Variety estimate the previous contract with Netflix to be between 250 and 300 million dollars. This colossal amount, especially in the streaming platform market, aligns well with the lifestyle of the characters in his new series All’s Fair.
Surefire Hit?
From the first episode (the only one we’ve seen so far), All’s Fair sets a bling-bling standard for its universe: opulent sets, expensive hair and makeup, high fashion clothes, pop music… An *camp* extravagance cherished by Ryan Murphy, perfect for portraying our era obsessed with the appearance of social media.
*The camp aesthetic plays on exaggeration, grotesqueness, provocation, and irony and emerged as a significant form of sensitivity in the culture of the 1960s.*
But will this almost parodic aesthetic, as amusing as it is entertaining, be enough to captivate viewers? We are eager to hear what you think of the series’ storylines!
All’s Fair is available on Disney+, with a new episode released weekly.
